A stab at their 30th anniversary
Kody claimed during Part 1Sister wives: one on oneespecially in December 2022 that he considered "reconciliation" after Mary gave him her homemade Rice Krispies 2020 treats.
Meri remembered that anniversary a little differently. "It's interesting that he felt that way. Because it's also the same day we went on a hike and he said, 'No, you should have proposed to me,'" she recalled. "I said, 'Kody, I have waited for you' and he said, 'I'm not coming.'
Elsewhere in the episode, Meri recalled how Kody went from their first anniversary in Arizona in 2018 to celebrating it in 2020.
"Our first anniversary we had here in Flagstaff, 'Cheers to a new beginning.' As opposed to this last anniversary, he's like, 'I don't even know why you called me Meri.'" He's like, 'We're single. We don't act married,'" she claimed. "And I said to him, 'If we're here, don't you think we should address this publicly?' He said, “No, no. I want to talk about it. I don't want it to be public because I don't want that judgement."

Struggle for intimacy
Meri revealed in the December 2022 episode that during the former couple's 30th anniversary, she tried to get close to Kody, and he allegedly refused her advances.

Meri and Kody shared a joint statement on Instagram detailing their breakup a month after Sister Wives: One-on-One Part 1 aired. "Through this process, we are committed to kindness and respect for each other and all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships in the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love, " wrote the former. .
